Step 2: Collect Google reviews
Google uses reviews as a trust signal. More reviews, higher rating, better ranking. It's that simple. The way to get them is equally simple: ask your clients directly. Send them a message after you finish a job. Most people are happy to leave a review if you make it easy, share the direct link so they don't have to go looking for it.
Ten genuine 5-star reviews will do more for your local ranking than almost anything else.
Step 3: Write content your customers are searching for
This is where blogs earn their keep. Every question your clients ask you is a blog post waiting to be written. "How much does a website cost?" Write it. "What's the difference between a landing page and a full website?" Write it. "How long does it take to build a website?" Write it.
When Google sees your site consistently answering questions your target audience is asking, it starts treating you as an authority on the topic. Slowly your pages move up. Traffic builds. Enquiries come in.
Step 4: Make sure your site is fast and mobile-friendly
Google openly penalises slow sites in its rankings. If your website takes more than 3 seconds to load on a phone, you're losing visitors before they even read a word, and Google notices that.

Step 5: Use the right words on your pages
If you're a florist in Heraklion, the words "florist", "flowers", and "Heraklion" need to appear naturally on your homepage, your about page, and your service pages. Not stuffed in unnaturally, just used the way you'd naturally talk about your business.
Think about what your ideal customer types into Google and make sure those exact phrases appear somewhere on your site.
